I wanted to say thank you so much for helping me this past year at BodyRock with regard to my routine. As competitors it's hard enough to find choreographers that are local and good, let alone finding one like you that went beyond the call of duty in many ways. You know what it takes to win. Also, one that is willing to travel across country to help put my routine together. In many other cases I had to travel to the choreographer not that the chromatographer was willing to travel to me.
For that I am VERY grateful!
Secondly, as hard as it is to be able to nail the required moves in the NPC arena you never made me feel as though the moves would have to be as challenging as they appeared to be. Even if I didn't nail it you were able to show me alternative positions that would appear as though I did yet, making sure, I worked hard every day on my flexibility to be able to nail all the moves one given day in career.
I would recommend your talents to new and veteran competitors for the simple fact that you’re patient and most importantly understand what it takes to buildup someone's strong points and diminish their weak ones. Because of your help, guidance and creativity to execute a routine in which I thought was never going to be possible. I was so proud to take 3rd in my first NPC Show at the BodyRock in 2005 now, qualifying me for Nationals come this November of 2006.

PERSONAL TRAINING "Laura Mak is a great trainer and motivator. I first started working out with her when I was in my early 50's and wanted to increase my body strength. Laura, with her training and educational background was able to zero in on my needs and gave me a balanced program. She gradually increased my workouts so that eventually I could leg press over 300 lbs! I was introduced to free weights which toned my muscles and increased my metabolism.
When I was dating Floyd, who is now my husband, I mentioned that I had done some pushups in my exercise routine and he responded :"Oh, you mean girlie pushups?"
The look on his face was priceless when I dropped to the floor and gave him 10 of the best "Laura Mak inspired" one-arm push-ups. Shortly afterwards, he also started working out with Laura.

I was taking aerobics 6 times a week for 12 years and was burning out on it. I started taking Laura's abs class and enjoyed her and the results. One day we started talking about weight training and I thought I would give it a try. Wow she made it so much fun and I was excited to get up and go to the gym again. I would just show up and she did the rest. Unlike a lot of trainers counting while they are on the phone, she really cares and explains everything. I started my "Mak training" with the goals of firming up my entire body and getting back into better condition.??? Since that time, I've already started to notice some results in the areas that we've focused on the most (shoulders, arms, upper back.)??? The part of Laura's training that I've been most impressed with is how she carefully?strengthened a problem area in my left shoulder that had hurt (if lifting weights) for many years now.?? We've gotten it to the point where I usually don't feel any pain there anymore.?? She also made an effort to provide a better diet for me.?
